Desi with a twist!

I am the laziest person I know, when it comes to dressing up. For me, an ethnic day dressing involves a cotton kurta, with a pair of leggings and silver jhumkas. But I do love to wear a saree, once in a while, the least difficult to wear , already draped ones! Bollwood makes wearing a saree and dancing, look like the easiest task in the world! But we know what it feels like to put our foot down, each time, anticipating the movement of the pleats! Especially, when it’s Diwali, you would definitely want something which would be fuss free and comfortable. Currently, I am crushing on  the kurta-skirt and the kurta-palazzo trend!

I just wanted to put together some outfit ideas, inspired by the celebs! Fusion wear is always a good idea! I’m gonna try these out this Diwali!

Shirt with a flared skirt : Alia Bhatt loves to wear this trend! A white shirt with long flared skirt is always a good idea!

Off shouldered kurtis : Off shoulder is a rage! Why not add a little ethnic touch to it and convert it to a kurti?!

Floor length kurtas with skirt/palazzos: They make you look so tall! Try pairing the anarkalis with a long skirt!

Shirt dresses/tunics with flared skirt : My current fashion go to piece of clothing is the long skirt! I ended up pairing a shirt dress with a long crushed skirt and voila! Remember to keep the buttons below the waist line, unbuttoned.

Will update the pic soon! Hope this helps you in putting together a great Diwali ensemble!
